I want to become inspired to write again so I decided to post this story to see the feedback from new readers. If everyone likes this story, I may be inspired to write again. Or I'll just publish a few of my other works on the site. Anyway, I hope you all enjoy!
Shawn Carter, 32 is a single father. His world was turned upside down just a year ago when his wife Marie of five years died unexpectedly. Shawn adored his wife, they were soul mates; she was his first and what he believed would be his last. Although he was hurting and deeply sadden by his wifes passing he had no time to mourn. His priorities had now shifted. Although he had been a father for nearly two years his life would be forever changed. Kennedy Marie was the name he picked out for his daughter. She was his pride and joy, the reason why he worked to so hard, the reason why he woke up every morning. Shawn knew it wasnt going to be easy raising a child on his own but he had faith.
Two months after his wifes death Shawn struggled to provide for he and his child. Unpaid medical bills piled up, rent was due, utility bills needed to be paid, his car needed gas, car insurance needed to be paid, daycare payments need to be made, and not to mention house hold items, groceries, and items for his child. He couldnt do it on his own. He needed help but who could he turn to?
Love was the last thing on his mind. He had just lost his wife and was on the verge of losing everything. But when she came into his life all of that changed. Beyoncé Knowles was like a breath of fresh air. He knows shes in a relationship. He knows her heart is with another man but the closer they become as friends the more his heart aches for her.
This is a story about choices, love, heartbreak, and broken promises. In the end a decision has to be made. So who wins?
