This story takes place after Supernatural episode 8x17 "Goodbye Stranger". (So I would recommend not reading further if you haven't gotten there yet). In that episode, Dean says to Castiel "We're family. We need you. I need you.". The line was originally something along the lines of "We're family. I need you. I love you." (AND THE WRITERS CHANGED IT). This story is what I think would have happened if they had used the uncut line. Enjoy!!
