Fourteen year old Ryan has a completely normal life. She goes to school, has friends, and does her homework (but she always forgets to study for that big math test). Completely normal life, expect for the fact that her father is an inventor and astronomer and gives her weird lessons for life (like how to control any vehicle without hot wiring it or the keys with just her phone) that she thinks is pointless.
When her father is kidnapped by an alien race called the Zathas, Ryan discovers that her and her dad are also part of an alien race called the Iyas and that she is the missing daughter of Catalena. Now Ryan and her human friends must traverse the Earth and the galaxy to find her father before it's too late for both her father and her home.
