It was the early 1920's and Evelyn Finley's childhood wasn't the best. Her father left her mother and all Evelyn was left with was a broken mother, who sold herself and eventually her life as well. After everything Evelyn left, she decided to go to the one place she knew would be her home. Long Island New York. What she got when she arrived was nothing she really expected. When her attempt of becoming a news column writer fails, she is forced to take after her mother and make dirty money. When she is given an 'assignment' to go to one of the most extravagent parties, all she expects are some drunk men and beautiful settings. But when she catches the eye of a certain billionare, everything changes. Will the billionare, Stanley Mathews be the same kind of man as her father, and walk out on her? Or will he prove to her that all anybody ever needs is love.

"There were times of hardship when people forget the courage they need to keep fighting; and survive. But I think as long as we have something or someone to believe in, to keep close in our hearts, courage will never truly leave us. We only have to reach deep in our heart to find it." I never thought I was going to escape my abusive parents. I could no longer see that one light at the end of my tunnel. I was trapped, no way to escape. You would never believe that one trip to the New York Hospital could change my life drastically, and not in the way you guys are thinking. Not negatively, but positively. Thanks to my Doctor and his son, I could finally say goodbye to my dark past and say hello to my bright future involving a massive emotion... LOVE. So, Maybe... There is a Happy Ending.
