The Swan Thief -Chapter 1 Greedy Tod

I once picked up a book with the title the swan thief and then read the overview, and it had nothing and absolutely no part in it about a thief stealing a swan. Feeling cheated with this novel (as I always do with cool sounding misleading titles), I hurled it back on the shelf. Only later had I got the idea of making a book called the swan thief that actually had a thief stealing a swan in it, so this is how this book was born. Enjoy!
