Her eyes were shut tight, lips were pursed into a thin line and droplets of sweat lined her eyebrows, heart banged against her chest rapidly that she felt it would break through any second now. She flinched at the cold steel that suddenly came closer to her forehead, then she readied for death to come...

...but her preparation was for naught. The trigger of the revolver was pulled, yet no bullet sliced through her brain as she had expected. She thanked that she was sitting (with her hands and feet tied together, though) because if she were to be standing right now, she knew her knees wouldn't probably last any longer. Releasing a shaky breath, she didn't know whether to be relieved or to be panicked; the next one was yet to come.
