You know how some people believe in soul mates?
Well in my world everyone knows they are real.
When you turn 18 you can hear your soul mate a.k.a tap into their thoughts.
And even if you've known your soul mate your entire life you won't know until the first time you see them either on or after your 18th birthday and it is like love at first sight. But you will be attracted to them because they are meant for you so of course you will find them attractive.
But imagine my surprise when the person made for me was my polar opposite.

my second chance (Haikyuu au)
This is a haikyuu soulmate au. The way the soulmates work is they will get a colour stripe on their dominant wrist, the colour will be their soulmates favourite colour and will be scented like their soulmate. Their soulmate's initials will be engraved in with the stripe. if the initials are white then the soulmate is platonic and if the initials are black then the soulmate is romantic however this can change but that is very rare. The stripe appears at birth. It is possible for someone to not get a stripe but some people can get a delayed soulmate and develop their stripe later but not all. If the soulmate is romantic, then the soulmate will stay true to the persons sexuality. If the soulmate gets hurt the person will be able to sense where (if its physical pain). Mental pain works slightly differently so for example, their soulmate is going through grief, they can feel ever so slightly what the soulmate is feeling so sometimes people can be found suddenly tearing up, even in the happiest of moments, of sadness. If the soulmate is uncomfortable or has been harassed, the person will get visions of it almost like looking back on a memory. when soulmates kiss their stripes will glow slightly.Complete
