Hunger Games
The winner of the 68th Hunger Games, Marilla Lutz, is being thrown back into the arena years later to participate in the Quarter Quell, where the remaining victors are reaped back into the games. While she, her former mentor (Finnick Odair), and the rest of the tributes train for the games, they learn of a plan to save the victors, if they agree to protect Katniss Everdeen, the Mockingjay. But when Mari spills a Capital secret, President Snow will do everything in his power to make sure she dies in the Games, and suffers while doing so. Unknowingly, she becomes a symbol of hope for the Districts and sparks rebellion. They call her The Mermaid. Even if she does live long enough to be rescued from the arena, she doesn't realize what the consequences will be if she makes it out alive. And they will be devastating. {pre-written. 7 out of 17 chapters published. New chapter up every Friday}
