What Happens When Happily Ever After is Lost Forever? 
Inspired by Kiera Cass's original idea for the ending of the Selection series, My Hero begins during the rebel attack at the end of The One.  In a terrible turn of events Maxon is killed by rebel forces, but in this story Amberly is not. Without her true love in her world anymore, America is heartbroken. She turns to her friends, siblings, and Queen Amberly, who is all she has left of her beloved prince, for comfort and solace. Soon, as America adjusts to her new life, new opportunities are offered and slowly the feeling she think she pushed away are coming back to her.
