They warned us over and over until we tuned out the sound of their words. It was a mistake. By 2234, the planet was melting and teeming with people. Not enough land or resources existed to hold the world's population. By 2297, death, famine, and hunger had wiped out nearly 50% of the inhabitants of the earth. But in 2334, Kenaya Swan's grandfather developed a system to fix the damage that humanity had instilled upon itself. A way to create but limit repopulation to only those who could afford to sustain a child. Not only that, but the child could have any traits or characteristics their parents wanted. Child labs sprung up around the world. "Get your one-of-a-kind baby here!" read all of the headlines in the newspapers for years. It wasn't until the generation of Designers grew up that the people understood the damage they had done.

The Swan family was the richest family in the entire world. They owned more properties and islands than the second and third wealthiest families combined. There was only one problem-- it seemed that grandpa Swan left more than his just money to Kenaya. He gave her something that could change the course of history forever.

IMPORTANT NOTICE, PLEASE READ!: Though this story will remain up, it is not a polished product I'm all too proud of. Someday, some of the book's aspects may change; plot, some characters, etc. Think of this like a first draft, and I'm working on the not-first-draft. :D) Thank you so much for bearing with me, and I hope you enjoy I Am Not A Robot as it is, and as it will be! _____________ Bolts. The new-age phrase for robots. You may think that robots that can think for themselves is a bad idea. Well, so does the Government. Nobody knows the exact year. Or how long robots have been banned on punishment of death. All anybody knows is smoke, acid rain, and metal. And nobody thinks anything of it. Robots with minds as alive as yours being murdered in the slowest way possible? Normal. There are no uprisings. There are no rebellions. As far as everyday people go, the world is perfectly fine. As long as there are no robots. Because if there are, it's a kangaroo court on their fate. Aaran Sozos has spent the majority of her young life accused of being a robot. And as I'm sure you're aware, reader, if people call you something enough, you start to believe it. But when a classmate calls upon her help to find a missing brother, they need to search outside of the city. A city that is suspended above the earth. That is inhabited by robots. All I can tell you now is that they're doing a better job of keeping the mother nature happy than we ever could. But keep in mind, mother nature doesn't mind murder, either.

The Utopia Project

5 parts Complete

2063. The world is severely divided. 20 years ago, the government had plans of creating a utopia. A perfect society. Where the residents would all live their lives in peace. They wouldn't have to work jobs. They wouldn't have currency. They wouldn't have to deal with challenges. They could live their lives the way everyone wants to. But there was one catch. And that was that the government made it a law that nothing bad could ever happen. No crimes, no arguments, no fights. The citizens would all be kept calm and they would be kind to each other. Obviously, this failed. Crime broke out. Everyone was fighting each other and the society the government promised turned into a disaster. So, the government decided to do something about it. They decided that everyone who rebelled against them or did anything bad would be put into a perfect android body which was devoid of doing anything wrong. But, they would also be drained of their freedom and emotion. They would be slaves to the government. The majority submitted to the government's orders. But some didn't. This is the story of the ones who rebelled.
