"Look I've heard all about you, the infamous ladies man and how he's irresistable to women, the one and only, Alex Zander Sword." Aeon said while rolling her eyes.
Alex shrugged. "It's been a curse all my life."
She stopped walking and jabbed a finger on his chest. "Well, I'm not just any woman! I'm not interested on a quick roll especially with you Mr. Sword. So. Leave. Me. Alone." She made sure to emphasize each word.
He chuckled silently.
"I just can't leave you alone. Just the thought of it makes my heart breaks into a million pieces." He placed a hand on his chest while Aeon just simply ignored him and continue to walk.
"Aeon, it will be so much fun to add a little excitement to your life." He walked beside her.
"In your dreams." She wasn't smiling.
"You're right, in my dreams.." His violet eyes gleamed with mischief.
She sighed deeply and turned to look at him. "I'm beginning to think you're as bad as everyone says."
He winked and and said, "Count on it, darling.."

''You don't know me?'' he asked me with the same soft voice. ''How could I?'' I yelled, struggling even harder. ''Let m-me go!'' My voice started to crack. I was breathing harder with each passing second and I was fighting to keep my eyes open. My chest started to hurt. The man caught me and snuggled me to his chest. For the first time after so long, I felt safe. I felt like no one can hurt me, as long as I was with him. Just before everything went blank I felt someone kissing my temple. Alex and Henry are newly engaged and planning their wedding as Alex's first Congressional election is coming up. While Henry is done with being in the spotlight, he's always knew that to love Alex, he'll have to continue to be. But as the wedding approaches, it eats at him as he realizes Alex and him want different lives. Alex, meanwhile is too wrapped up in politics to see how much Henry is suffering, and in his attempt to balance being everything to everyone, turns to vice. Will this be the thing that tears them apart? How can they both be happy if one of them has to sacrifice the life they have always desired? Follows book cannon (but not the bonus chapter exactly) and takes place 6 years after the end of the book. Chapters will alternate being told from Henry and Alex's POVs. "I am the one carrying your name behind me; we are married. how can you say we have nothing in between us? Huh" She yelled at him, tears blurred her vision, and she spoke her heart to him. "For god's sake, this marriage was to save you! Can't you get that? I did not do it willingly, I do not love you!!" He yelled back at her, shattering her heart into pieces. "Why can't you just love me?" She spoke, as she cried the tears of hurt, and pain. Her heart thumped loudly due to the shivering sensation She felt all over her body. "I never made a commitment to you, or gave you any false hope, neither did i say that i love you. Did i?" He asked her, in a very cold tone. She looked at him through her teary eyes. It's getting difficult for her to even breathe. "It was your eyes, the damn eyes. Who gave me the false hope. They say, "Eyes speak the truth," but what about mine? Couldn't you feel the sincerity within them, expressing my deep affection for you? Why didn't you see the love shining in them? Was it too complex to understand? Couldn't you notice the warmth as they gazed at you? They search for you in every corner, If only you realized how they silently echoed the emotions I couldn't articulate. They say, "Eyes never deceive." But what about yours? They played a trick on me when they met mine, painting a facade of a world that wasn't real. They made me feel loved, Leading me into a belief that crumbled, louder than your spoken promises. Why did they betray me? Was it your eyes or you that masked the truth?" He stayed still, not moving or saying anything at her statement. --

"Give me one valid reason as to why I should sign this?" He said leaning back on his chair, folding his arms against his chest. "Umm...you'd get a young, intelligent, empathetic, loyal and a passionate wife? And Bonus, she's gorgeous as well." she answered with a grin, flipping her hair back. "You forgot to add childlike." He smirked. "I ain't a child. You're the one acting like a child here. You know the situation we are in well enough, so just sign it. Now will you?" she insisted. "Correction. Not 'we' but 'I'. It's a 'situation' for you, not for me. So, ask politely." He said, with the smirk not leaving his face. "Seriously!?" She frowned to which he nodded closing his eyes. "Argh! Fine-", she let out a sigh before continuing, "Will you please sign these papers?" "Oh Zara, I was expecting better." he showed his displeasure. Zara sighed again. Knowing his intentions very well. She walked closer to him plastering a fake smile on her face. Seeing her approaching him, Evan stood up adorning a smile. Before he could say anything Zara smacked his face with a fist and hit him on the legs with her foot making him wince in pain. She laughed like a maniac watching him plead in front of her. "I'm still waiting, Ms. Zara." His voice snapped her back into reality. What a bold dream! She sighed in defeat, before replying to him. "Mr. Evan Nash, Will you please show some mercy on me and sign these papers agreeing to our contract marraige? Please?" "The fuck you are leaving me." His roar cracked through the hall like lightning. Ara didn't blink. She stood there, calm as death, done to her core. No tears. No tremble. Just a weary exhale as she turned her back on him - the one thing he never thought she'd do. Before she could take a step, his hand shot out, gripping her arm like he was holding on to life itself. "Where are you going, Ara!" His command shook the pack. But she wasn't his to command. Not anymore. Ara ripped her arm free with a force that made even his wolf recoil. "Don't. Touch. Me." Her aura slammed into him, cold and merciless. "You think I'll stand here and watch you mate and breed her?" she hissed, every word a dagger. His throat bobbed. "She meant nothing." She laughed - sharp, broken, brutal. "Yeah? That's why you were fucking her in your office? Couldn't even hide the scent of your betrayal." "Ara, it was a mistake-" She stepped closer, eyes blazing. "Your mistakes come in episodes, Alpha. Season one, season two, season three. You don't make mistakes. You make choices." He swallowed hard. "I don't need her. I need you." "Lies," she spat. "Every damn sentence you breathe is a lie. I can't even look at you without feeling sick." He flinched like her words physically hit him. "That female behind you?" she pointed, not bothering to glance. "Perfect for you. Go mark her. Breed her. Hell, fuck her for all I care." Her voice cracked - but she kept going, blade steady even when bleeding. "I don't need you. Not anymore." His knees crashed to the floor. The mighty Alpha. On the ground. For her. "Ara... I'm sorry. I'm really fucking sorry." His voice broke like he finally understood what loss tasted like. She stared at him with a sad, devastating smile. "Isn't it too late for that, Mate?" One tear escaped - and she crushed it away with her thumb. Then she turned. Walked. Didn't look back. But he didn't chase her. Because he knew. He didn't just lose her. He wrecked her.Concluida

"Celestia." The voice of a familiar creature reached her human ears. Her gaze trailed up to meet her masters pair and this initiated his anger but she remained emotionless as he began to complain. "What the hell was that just now? I've been training you for the last ten years and I don't remember you fighting with the speed of a snail. I wouldn't have been surprised if these weak demons killed you." The straight black strands of Celestia's silky hair sway slightly under her hood as she stepped off the pile of dead bodies. The sharp weapon she summoned earlier transformed into light, allowing itself to be absorbed by the tattoo on the palm of her hand. The male glared as she disregarded his last words and spun on her heels, intending to leave the sickening scene. "How many times have I told you to not act like that towards me?" His form materialised in front of her, this allowing his long fingers to wrap around her neck. Celestia choked as her body was driven back and smacked against one of the trees in the vast forest. He released her once her face grew pale and watched smugly as she coughed and desperately inhaled as much as oxygen as she could. She bowed stiffly towards her master as soon as she managed to sort herself out. "I apologize, Zerro." His lips formed into a cruel grin and he unexpectedly planted a kick in her stomach causing Celestia to hit against the rough bark a second time. I've said just about enough already. "I still love you " he spat, glaring intently at me. mine widens in shock I quickly mask it over with an emotionless and bored expression. I close up our space once more. "Even if I am ready to blow out your brain? don't you think it's a little too soon for you to use the word "love" ?it's pretty strong!!
