When Lia is made someone else's conscience she has to do a good job and protect the girl to move on to the next stage to determine where she stays for the rest of eternity, Heaven or Hell.  But what is Lia protecting Providence from?  And what happens if Providence finds out that she has a conscience that is actually a dead person?
