Tragedy struck on a frigid December night in 2005, shattering the peace in our quiet, upscale neighborhood of Hannam-dong, Seoul. The victims were my parents: a British navy officer and his Filipino wife. The brutal home invasion left my twin sister and me orphaned and separated by fate. I was cruelly abducted by the robbers and sold into the sinister depths of a black market linked to an international orphanage. My sister, miraculously spared, was discovered by the police tucked safely under a bed, blissfully asleep and unaware of the horror that had unfolded. Eighteen years later, half a world away, I lived a life of privilege and comfort in the posh surroundings of New York City. Adopted by the billionaire Pages, James and Claire, I had everything a girl could wish for. Or so I thought. My world was rocked when I stumbled upon an online article with a photo of a girl who looked exactly like me-a girl who wasn't me. The article detailed the tragic story of a top student from a prestigious international school in Seoul, South Korea, who had been found beaten and left for dead. My heart raced as I showed the article to my parents. James and Claire, always loving and supportive, were visibly shaken by the uncanny resemblance. It was time to spill the secret they had guarded so closely-I was adopted. As I absorbed this earth-shattering news, I felt a deep, inexplicable connection to the girl in the article. Was it possible that this comatose girl was my long-lost twin sister? Determined to uncover the truth, I decided to travel to Seoul. My journey would take me into the heart of my past, into the whispers of my origins, and into the tangled fate of two sisters whose paths were meant to cross once again.

If you'd asked me a year ago, I would've said Seoul was the heart of my dreams, a place where stories and inspiration come to life. But now, it feels more like a city of unfinished sentences, where people drift in and out, leaving me with questions I can't answer. There's one face I keep seeing, like a familiar word just out of reach, each encounter a reminder of something I'm missing but can't name. We cross paths again and again, and each time, I wonder if it's fate... or just another empty promise. The city moves forward, while I stand here, longing for something I'm not even sure I'll ever find. Maybe it's time for a new chapter, a change. Or maybe... maybe it's time to let go. __________________________________________________________________________________ Eunbyeol is an aspiring writer living in the bustling city of Seoul. After quitting university and feeling stalled in her writing, the city now feels more like a maze of lost moments and empty promises. She searches for a spark to bring her writing back to life. When she decides to leave the busy streets of Seoul for a quiet retreat, Eunbyeol isn't looking for love or connection only a bit of peace. But fate has other plans. She keeps crossing paths with a stranger, a man who seems familiar yet elusive. As their paths continue to intertwine, Eunbyeol finds herself inexplicably drawn to him, feeling the weight of something unfinished each time they part. __________________________________________________________________________________ This is my first ever Story AHHHHHHH I'll try to update regularly but I just started an internship in Vietnam so I don't know how drained I'll be after work -.- Also english is not my first language so be aware of some typos, I'll try to avoid them but some just slip through ^^ (I'm from Germany)

December is the final month of a year where people like to celebrate Christmas along with the welcoming New Year, everyone seems to be happy despite the weather is freezing to death. I watch my father and sister discussing which side they should put the Christmas tree in the living room. From kitchen I can clearly hear them saying they should buy more accessories and some other stuff. I sat here with both hands holding a cup of hot non sugar Americano, something that gives me a little warm. Everyone so in their happy moods and I know I should have joined them for how I should feel right now. Sadly, it's December we are talking about. It's been a year since I left Seoul, December last year I left the city with much of heavy feeling and tears. I'm Lalisa Manoban, once married with Kim Jennie. Yes, we're both girls, the only reason that led us to a divorce road.
