Her name was Angelica. It wasn't an unusual name. Nor did it mean anything out of the ordinary. But then again-her life was far from normal.
When her Mother died, killed by the man who was meant to be her Father, it got worse. She spent every hour of the day, terrified of what the so called 'Man' of the house could do. A mistake-that was what she was known as to her family. From the moment she was born, all the way to the present day. But she never understood why. Her Father was an angry man, she knew that. What she couldn't quite comprehend, was why this temper was always directed towards her. Because, you see, she wasn't the only child living under that monster's name.
Her twin sister, Cynder, should have been her best friend in the world. The one she could rely on to protect her. But instead, she was exactly like him. Every single bone in her body, was as rotten as their male descendant's. And who was always on the receiving end of it? None other than sweet little Angelica.
