The Ruby

This Overkills vignette takes place after Herb becomes Scarlet Overkill's inventor, but before they become an official couple. Herb is already wildly in love with Scarlet and instinctively senses she may feel the same. However, he won't make a move until Scarlet indicates she's ready. Herb is patient and will wait as long as it takes.

As for Scarlet, she's developed a strong affection for Herb, but isn't ready to call it love. Nor has she realized just how deep her feelings go-until an unexpected event puts everything into focus.
