Appleton was one of the safest and warmest places to live in. That was before a seventeen year old kid vanished in broad daylight in the middle of a school day. No one knew what happened to Marel Connelly, but everyone knew him. Every citizen was left scarred after a year of his disappearance, more so his family. The search died down, but the reminder stuck to each and everyone's mind. Doors were being locked at night, kids were looking behind for the slightest of sounds. No one was safe anymore in the place of Appleton. Absolutely no one.
