17 year old Kate Green moved from a small town in CA to the big city; Manhattan, New York with her Dad. It's the year 1987 and Kate always stuck out and was teased for liking a new type of music. Grunge, being teased for emo isn't enough. Because of the fact every school she ever goes to senses her to go to the guidance counselor who is an annoying bastard who thinks he knows everything about her situation. He always checks her arms to make sure she doesn't cut her self, she hates the statistics. Her father is the only thing that makes her happy. She cares an lot about him. Yet she is forced to deal with her given situation. Father lost his new job two days after they moved leaving them in an even smaller apt. She likes to hang out in a music store in Times Square. It's a small place with good pay and almost no customers leaving her with hundreds of her favorite records and the friends there that she makes. She deals with backstabbing friends, boys trying to take advantage of her, bullying, and last of all. Drew. Not the most popular boy but definitely worth the trouble. But one question remains.
