PLEASE NOTE: This is a spin-off to Music Therapy, and although it can be read as a stand alone novel, you will get more out of it if you read Music Therapy first.
Nathan Morrison grew up in a very God and Christian music centered environment. His parents - although it was mostly his Mom - taught him from a very young age about the healing powers of God's music.
So when he's assigned as a peer mentor to Brittany Peterson and catches a glimpse of the struggles she's going through with her faith and relationships, he decides that he'll bring his favorite Christian CD to life through their peer mentor sessions.

Despite the fact that Cameron has grown up in church, he is absolutely convinced that there is no God. His warm hand stays at my back and I can feel his body keep me close. I nod and listen to his heart again.
