13-year-old Charlie has always spent her summers at Silas Lake, with her family and her family's friends. It's comfortable and familiar - until one summer, daring, reckless Lola appears at the Lake. Charlie's life has always been average, but Lola's appearance changes all that. With Lola around, Charlie's summers are full of promises of excitement.
