Erin Howe, an aspiring hockey player, has just been accepted into her dream school, Hawthorne High Prep School. Thankfully, so has her best friend Jackie, but not so thankfully, so has her ex-boyfriend, Jake. When the school year starts, she meets new friends and hopefully a protector from Jake: an athletic hockey player named Seth. However, not all is as it seems at this school, and Erin soon finds herself of a darker path she never would have dreamed of.
If you like werewolf stories, but are tired of the ~sexy brooding guy~ trope, then this is a good choice. It's lighter, more humorous, but full of action and interest as well. And all the characters are more than just comedic relief, following around the main characters.
