Ha ha so yes I've heard all the jokes, "OMG, your name is Journey? And your brothers name is Trip! So, if your parents had another kid, would it be named Adventure?" "No, first off, they are not going to have another kid, and second it was just a coincidence that we have synonymous names..." Why does everyone think that?! Ugh, I have given up in my faith in the evolution of the human brain. I am just a regular human being and I am just as socially awkward and odd as any other teenager on this planet.

I've always felt that I was different. When I realised I liked men, I thought oh' this is why. But no I still felt different. I love music and have learnt to play the guitar and play the piano. When I was younger, I had two best friends they were twins and lived just down the road to me. They moved away when I was 10 saying "they'd be back" that was nearly 8 years ago and I'm still waiting. People think I'm weak and I get beaten up on a regular bases. I'm not weak though, I just don't care if they hit me or not. They mean nothing to me, but if they are bullying me they are leaving others alone. I heal quickly anyway. The one thing that gets me is the feeling of being different. I learnt the hard way that wanting to be normal is just wishful thinking. More specifically when I found out who my dad really was. Then again, having a child while I was still a kid myself already sealed the deal on being anything but normal. But I was happy, for a moment. My brother the 10 year old genius
We're about 4 years apart, he's only 10 years old and still the smartest person I know. I'm 14 years old, and starting my first year of high school. And may I just say, what a great way to start the year off by first having all the parents be abducted by aliens. Compared to the rest of our family it makes me feel stupid, but then compare me to our parents and my IQ goes from stupid to at least average. Our mom is pretty smart, my dad isn't that smart, and sounds like he really only cares about ducks. People make fun of him for being so smart, but I love him, most days anyways. He's my best friend and he says I'm the coolest big sister he's ever had, to be clear I'm the only sister he's ever had.
