The Power's In Your Roots

Carly Mathews is a 15 year old foster child. She has bounced around in foster care for years ever since her family was in a car accident. Her mother and father were killed, but her younger brother Mason and herself managed to walk away with only a few minor injuries. This happened when Carly was three, and mason was only five months old. Carly and Mason are in the care of Mr. And Mrs. Clayton. Carly finally decided she couldn't take it. She told mason, who was now 12 that they were going on a walk. They walked out into the woods and Carly made sure to make many switchbacks so wouldn't be able to find their way back. After some time Carly and Mason find a small shack. They decide to take shelter there for it has started getting dark, but when they awake they find the small shack isn't so small. When Carly finds a secret entrance to a magical world, she feels a longing to the place, as if she somehow belongs there.

Marcus Peters a 16 year old prince of Sarsden lost his mother, to an unknown disease, at age five. His father has done all he can to forget about his wife, but it's hard to forget those we love. Sarsden is a magical realm that has been hidden from normals for millennia. Sarsdens are allowed to come and go as they please but no Normal has entered ever. The secret entrance lays in a small abandoned shack. To escape the death of his mother Marcus travels to the Normal's world every day to watch they ways of the others.

A mysterious force is rising in Sarsden. Nobody knows where from, or what is the cause, but the king knows it's powerful and dangerous. The last person known to the Sarsdens who was powerful enough to match it is long gone, disappeared 15 years ago.
