Having midnight blue eyes proves that Winter's life will never be normal. But she isn't the only one who has an abnormal eye colour, and she may have more in common with these people than she thought.

When Winter meets the hot and dangerous boy named Cole, she has the chance to enter the other realm called Cörlika- full of magic, mysteries, and even better: answers. She discovers why her dad disappeared without a trace, and why she sees things in her dreams that don't exist. Can't exist.

But what she hasn't discovered yet is the dark and deadly side of that exotic realm. Its powerful and morbid ruler has set his eyes on Winter, and soon she may not be able to stop him from fulfilling his sinister plan.

As all Winter's ever known comes crashing down, she may not be able to hold everything together. . .not her best friend, not her strange, new abilities. . .certainly not her heart.

Because she just hasn't seen the other side of that dangerous, terrifying realm.

I fell for a boy with the kindest blue eyes, and a charming dimple. He made me feel loved, and cared for, and most importantly he made me feel safe in his presence. He came right in the middle of a tornadoe and managed to turn it into blue skies. He changed my perspective and gave me hope and strength." I looked at him, and he was smiling, and his eyes were a little glossy. He took my hand and kissed it, a small tear caught in the corner of his beautiful eyes. "I thought, hey, maybe life isn't so bad after all. Maybe I can finally allow myself to love and be loved, and to live life normally. When we went to your party, you told me to wait for you. But then your perverted cousin made me feel super uncomfortable, so I went looking for you, just to be able to feel at peace again. And that's when I saw it." My heart beats skyrocketed, because this was the moment everything changed forever. "Saw what?" Asked Axel. I took a deep breath, and continued. #1 in boyfriend (um what? Am I dreaming?) "Oh kid," he laughs and walks closer to me. He doesn't get close enough to stand between my legs, but his thighs still brush my shins. "Maybe you'll be able to pay better attention if you get used to this," he says, casting a small glance down to his exposed torso. I doubt it. Roman is Sadie's childhood crush. And the brother of her best friend, Naomi. For years she has hidden her feeling for him because you just aren't allowed to be in love with your best friend's brother. When they all come home for Thanksgiving break, Sadie and Naomi are transported back to their high school years of sleepovers, blanket forts, and exchanging secrets. But for Sadie, this means hiding her feelings for Naomi's brother just like she had for all of high school, but now that she's older and more mature, will her affections for him dissipate, or will she realize that there was no way she could ever hide her feelings from him or her best friend?
