It started off as a bad that felt to good. Spine tingling pleasure. I knew that IT was bad for me. I knew that IT was poisoning me, killing me slowly with my permission, consent even. Because the pleasure was, for the lack of better words, excruciatingly delicious.

And like a moth to a flame, I tread oh so faithfully towards it. Knowing what the outcome WILL be no matter the steps taken to get their. No matter the excuses I tell myself to justify my actions.

And right before I reach the light, I have one moment of clarity and decide if I turn away from the light, or burn away to nothing but a memory of the person I used to be.
