You've made your choice, and it's fine.", i pause, "i just wish it would have been different." Grace Mattews. Star daughter of Jeanine. Top student. Erics Best friend. First female Dauntless leader. Four's mentor. Also, loving sister, traitor, Divergent. After desperately trying to blend into the dauntless lifestyle, hiding her divergence from both Dauntless and her childhood friend Eric, but failing, she is forced to flee and leave everything she loves behind. Running into Evelyn, factionless leader, and combining forces they build an army to take down Jeanines newly build Army of mindless warriors. What happens when she suddenly runs into her old friends who once turned against her and one of them being Eric?

This is a backstory for Eric. I've taken bits and pieces from the Divergent series and also the movie. I also used the book about Four that recently came out. It takes you through his journey through initiation on in to leadership. He also develops a love interest that isn't in either the books or the movie. I wanted him to have a softer side that only she'll see.
