This is a backstory for Eric. I've taken bits and pieces from the Divergent series and also the movie. I also used the book about Four that recently came out. It takes you through his journey through initiation on in to leadership. He also develops a love interest that isn't in either the books or the movie. I wanted him to have a softer side that only she'll see. But they will learn there is so much more to being Dauntless than they thought. Eric is cold. He's cold hearted and merciless. He worked his way up and became a leader for Dauntless and he takes advantage of it every chance he can get. He punishes the initiates just because he can. And then a girl with doe eyes and perfectly pink lips jumps off the train after the choosing ceremony and turns his world upside down. He didn't even know he could still feel...anything.

When Erin gets told she is Divergent, she follows her brother to Dauntless. When she does see Eric again, she has a boyfriend. And what happens when she begins to fall in love with her brothers enemy, Four?

You transfer from Abnegation to be with your brother Tobias (Four) in Dauntless. You are top of your class and Eric takes an interest in you and you like him back. He finds you training alone and you fall on to him. It is very awkward but you admit your feelings to each other.
