It started out as just a few rabid wild animals. Nothing too out of the ordinary. Soon, however, animals everywhere, wild and domestic, were attacking humans. Pets turned against their owners. The world turned into chaos.

All Alice Blackwell has ever known is this dangerous world. Unlike everyone else around her, Alice can't help but wonder if everything is really as it seems. The rich live behind heavily fortified walls with a glass dome, while orphans like her and the poor are subjugated to the outskirts, only protected by the walls of their houses. The government is only spoken of by just that, and no one knows who actually runs and decides things. What is the mystery behind the silent, stoic people that protect the citybases and its citizens?
