Synopsis
Whispers from the Bluegrass
Sharan White.

Olivia has a story to tell.  Not verbally mind, for she lost the ability to speak when she had her tongue cut out years ago.  She is writing it all down from her porch in Kentucky.  

In the evenings she is interrupted by visits from Ol’ Longlegs.  He irritates the hell out of her, but she tolerates the old nuisance because she has plans for him.

Olivia is a young girl in the 1940’s when she is kidnapped by a man and woman.  The reasons soon become apparent and she accepts her fate for a while.
 
The couple have a son, Ethan who is 5 years older than Olivia.  Feeling pushed aside, Ethan makes trouble for her.

Olivia's life with Ethan and his envious mother is too difficult to bear and she tries to escape.

Her life if fraught with danger and desperation.  Many events occur that leave her destitute and lonely.  Ethan, ever in the background see's that she will never succeed at anything.

Although vulnerable, Olivia is a strong determined woman, who one day plans to triumph over him.
