Set in the early 15th century of Rome, Miriam is a strong-willed girl who would stand up not only for herself but for anyone who needed it. She couldn't possibly let anyone else experience even a fraction of the pain she had felt when her parents were murdered while she stood helplessly. On the other side of town is Luca, an aspiring gladiator who held on to anything if it meant saving his family from pain, even if it meant he sold himself as a slave to the gladiator school to gain money, which meant putting himself in a lot of pain. When these two meet in the most unlikliest circumstances, who will influence the other...for better or for worse?

A man whispered about in fear. To the world, he is untouchable-a monster in a tailored suit. To her, he is something far more dangerous. Protective. Possessive. Obsessively devoted. Bound together by a marriage of power and secrets, Nuvia finds herself caught between terror and desire. And Cassian-dark, relentless Cassian-will burn the world to the ground before he lets her go.
