Romance
The only parts I remember were the screams and the smell of burning flesh. One moment, I was crouching down near my favorite apple tree trying to get the ball of yarn that rolled under the largest branch and the next moment, everything was up in flames. There was no noise or loud boom. It was just from the snap of a moment, everything around me crumbled to ashes. ---------------------------------------------- Lillian has been an abnormality all her life. She never quite fit in anywhere, be it because of her particular memory loss or her unnatural ability to lead. She was born a normal little girl but everything changed when the Invasion began. Some people call it a freak accident and others call it a message from the Gods. Whatever it was, it wiped out cities of people until all that was left was a mysterious supernatural iron army that couldn't die and handfuls of refugees setting up camp over blackened hills of land. This was her normal now. Or atleast she though it was, until Andrew showed up, beaten and bruised at her door step. His arrival changed everything. He helped her remember her past, control her present and define her future. It all started with a simple fairytale of magic and wizards.

I was standing in the middle of the fire, whispering to the fire that always answered. Letting it grow and dance the way it wanted to. It was weird to have all of this fire around you and not have it burn or touch your fragile skin. With each match and whisper the fire grew, but yells found my ears. My name was screamed into the smoke. No, there couldn't be anyone here? I thought I was alone. I am always alone. This is Hazel, she is a normal girl who has a normal life. She doesn't fit in, anywhere, and her parents have forgotten she was there. Typical teenage world. Until the day she finds out about her ex. His shirt and his blood are found, and something abnormal starts to form. She goes out and tries to figure out whats happening. Will she find that another group of species, thought to be fantasy, exist?
