He pulled me into him nearly an inch away from his plump lips and my breath drew thin. he leaned down to my neck and his sweet voice lingered in my ear "Who's winning now?" I looked up into his dark brown eyes and mimicked his play-boy smirk. In the back of my mind I desperately wanted to pull him in and make him want me the way I did him, but I couldn't let him win. I leaned into his face brushing my lips across his and whispered slow, "I am". As soon as the words left my mouth I unlocked my hands from his shoulder and walked away. I found a seat on the couch and laughed turning on the television. I looked back at him to see him oddly surprised at my action. I smiled and heard him whisper under his breath "you're too hard" he took a seat next to me and we watched four episodes of The Fosters until I realized my eyes were slowly closing and soon I was asleep on blake's chest. She looks up at me, taking a step forward and smiling slightly, "How can I ever get hurt when I have you here to protect me?" "But you could have gotten hurt," I murmur softly, hanging my head and feeling my shoulders drop, the tension seeping from my body. "No. Stop," She cuts me off sternly but tenderly, "Don't talk like that, Reece. I'm okay, you're okay, we're okay," She speaks softly, reaching her hand up to gently brush her thumb over my cheek, just under the cut that's there. "We're okay," I repeat, taking a small step closer to her. She nods with a small smile, moving her hand down from my cheek and instead placing the palm of her hand on my chest, right over my heart. I know she can feel how fast my heart is beating. I just don't know why it's doing that. ~ Reece Carter is the bad boy of Northwood High. He smokes and he fights.
