Meredy is now the sole member of Crime Sorcière,  via Ultear's quiet passing and Jellal's full pardon. Of course, Fairy Tail had also pressed for Meredy's name to be cleared, but there was a catch. In order for her to not be a fugitive any longer, she had to prove herself worthy of being innocent. 
    
    Meredy finds herself on a dangerous mission to take out a growing dark guild with the mages of Lamia Scale, Lyon Vastia and Sherria Blendy. Wendy Marvell, the Sky Dragon Slayer of Fairy Tail, also joins - even if it doesn't make sense... (or does it?). If she is able to succeed the mission, she will be free.
