Hayley Worden never really understood what it meant to love someone. Of course she loves her parents, but it's not the same. She doesn't understand them nor do they understand her. Both of her parents are bright, bubbly and extroverted people while she was diagnosed with Persistent Depressive Disorder when she turned fifteen and has almost no social life. When she discovers a website for people like her, the last thing she expects is to meet someone who can make her forget about all her insecurities and start to lift the curse of her depression. Romie Adler has been a devoted fan of music since she could remember, so much so that she chose a career path that involved making it; the words of the music that is. She is so close to graduating from UCLA with a degree in songwriting that she can almost taste it, but she honestly doesn't know how she is going to get into the business.
