Kerry Blakley hates confrontation of any kind. She is timid, frequently anxiety-stricken, and often avoids any kind of mildly negative interactions. She moves to a new school, which is bad enough, but one of her newest and considerably closest friends gets in serious trouble. And, she knows something is behind it.
