Rebecca was a regular 12 year old kid. She was innocent and oblivious to the world around her, just like any other child. Her days consisted of school, television and spending hours with her friends talking about boys. Life seemed perfect enough.
But then It happened. Gun shots could be heard throughout the school and bombs were dropping in the distance. Squirrels that ate flesh and territorial fishes that exploded. But worst of all, an incurable zombie disease. Seemed like a bad dream to Reb. But it was real.
Somehow, as if an angel had been watching over her, she had made it out alive. She survived the brutal months of the war and found other survivors. They banded together and lived off the scarce resources that remained.
But it wasn't over yet. Years later things took a turn for the worst. All hope was lost. Food was scarce. Zombies were flourishing, out to get them. The mutated animals had bred and the offspring were terrifying.
Was there any hope left for the human race? Didn't look like it. But then again, Rebecca had always been lucky. Upon discovering something extraordinary, her perspective changed. Maybe there was still hope for all of them. Maybe there was really a light at the end of the tunnel. Maybe. Hopefully.

The rewrite for this book is out. It features way better writing than this one, trust me. 2024: The American military suspects World War III due to missile attacks from Russia all across Australia, Europe, and Canada. In an effort to aid the American military, scientists at Area-51 created animals with human characteristics, incredible speed, strength, agility, ect. They even have sentience. The humans dubbed these creatures 'Anthros'. No human could beat one in hand-to-hand combat. Not even the best person at close quarters combat. 2025: Two things would change the fate of the world as we know it. Those being that missile attacks were becoming more and more frequent. And the anthros were starting to rebel. Thus, starting the war. The anthros turned on their own squads, wiping almost all military members out. The anthros formed a military, with one goal. Extinguish humanity and take over earth. The last remaining humans in the military are fighting against anthros for their survival. Earth is practically hell at this point if you live on it. The human military in other continents has either been taken out by anthros, or the Russians. The Human Canadian Military moves down to the United States in an attempt to aid them, and to end this war once and for all. But one human soldier stands out from the rest after taking an experimental item... After this soldier is betrayed and lost, with no other option, joins the anthro military in an attempt to get his hands on the person who betrayed him. He'll do anything and kill anyone in his way to get to them and end this war. Even his own species. This soldier's name is Falcon. He suspects that it won't be much longer before he'll be betrayed again. But hey, that's just a theory. This book contains excessive swearing, detailed death/injury, and yeah that's pretty much it. She went back completely wasted and needed a place to stay for the night since her dad was on her ass about getting drunk so she stays with him. There are still two more chapters to write for this book, but I am having a writer's block. I visit her in the hospital, and greatly inspired by her courage under the unfortunate circumstances. However, can I finish the book in time for her? I'll try my best. Once again, my mind flies back to the post-apocalypse world of my fiction, searching for a way to end the book properly... ...... This is an attempt to mix comedy with tragedy. Some content is quite heavy, like cancer, depression, sick patients...etc. So prepare a tissue, just in case. I wrote and posted the first 3 chapters 4 years ago, yet due to my stupidity and insensitivity, I lost a dear friend over this story, which I regretted deeply. The idea was first inspired by another friend, who gave me some first hand experience of a cancer patient. Can't thank her enough. It's totally my fault that this story was delayed for so long. It's simply too good to waste, and not fair for her priceless contribution. There are also various things inspired by different friends online, who once bared their souls to me.
