White. White was all I could see before the reality settled in. As a child, my mother would tell me stories. The fantasy world of princesses, dragons, mermaids and happy endings.
When I saw the storybook in front of me, i couldn't help but read it. But when I was pulled into the pages of my childhood, well, that was a completely different story. Talk about a page-turner. The world before my eyes was not the place I dreamed about. This was a world where you dread to turn the page, fear the starting of a new chapter. This was no fairytale, there were no happy endings. I wanted to go back to the real world, to escape the pages of the storybook. This book was only filled with darkness and Childhood horrors.
As a wise princess said, "Only the Evil survive."
