What You Love

I sat on the ground, tears threatening to spill. I looked at the numerous grazes on my knees, I had been tripped so many times. It refused to cause me pain anymore.

"You fat slut, you're so ugly when your mother dropped you off at school she got a fine for littering." Bianca spat, causing chuckles from everyone surrounding me. I glanced up, not wanting to meet any of their eyes. I didn't want them to see my pain, they had already seen too much.

"What the hell are you doing?" A voice called from behind us. The new girl stepped out from the shadows, her black attire had hidden her from my line of sight before.

"What does it look, Goth?" Bianca Snickered.

"Get away from her," the girl stated, hearing shocked whispers from the group around us.

"What are you going to do about that, Freak?" The girl raised her fist, moving it into Bianca's face. "What's you problem," she screamed clutching her cheekbone. The girl motioned for me to grab her hand, I gratefully took, she pulled me up and dragged me away. I dared to glance back at them, all their mouths were wide up, gasping at what had just happened.

"Hi, I'm Kate, your new best friend."
