I don't think that the phrase "someone out there loves you" is true for everyone. It should be used with caution, and I don't think people understand that.
These are the thoughts that go through Firoza's mind as she wonders what exactly she did to deserve such a loveless and lonely life. Although, to be honest, she wasn't completely alone. She had her best friend who she admittedly sometimes took for granted, Amala. And her other best friend who she didn't realize was her best friend, Casey. And of course, her loving and doting mother who is sometimes too aggressive with her loving and doting. This all seems good and well and jolly from the outside, but on the inside Firoza is stuck wondering when and if she'll ever find someone to go to concerts with and to laugh at her terrible jokes and to watch criminal/murder mystery shows with and to hold her hand because even if she won't admit it, those shows can get scary and also maybe sometimes someone to give her kisses. But that's all unnecessary, right? Despite already finding partners, according to everyone else, romance is not something you need in life, and it will find you when your ready.
...
What a load of hippie bullsh*t.
