There was something about this smile that was different. His lips loved from neutral and relax, to the corners slightly turning up as his lips separated and teeth began to show. In a flash, the corners of those very pink lips turn downwards and his smile widens, but not too fast for her to notice that his right side drops first, quickly followed by the left. His eyes light up next, the smile stringing across his face, teeth fully exposed. Those eyes. They shine like Christmas lights, and she can't help but question all the other pairs of lips she's seen in her life. They're all different. She's kissed lips other than these, but in this moment, they all fade away, because she can't pull away from him. Not only the lips. The teeth. The Christmas lights that were his eyes. How the tips of his ears and the higher parts of his cheeks turn red at nearly anything. This boy was not just a boy. Everything she once knew was thrown out. No matter how much she thought she learned from her past incapabilities of remaining without a boyfriend, she knew nothing once again. She went back to her 12 year old self when she allowed herself to truly look at him. And boy was it beautiful. Who knew that a girl with such a high multiplicity could escape everything when she truly looked at this one boy.
