That doesn't help when she's also getting bullied at school bye her own ex best friend and everyone else. So she runs to the imaginary land that her books provide. So when the new girl Christina Glovenski moves in next door it turns Eliza's life around. 
Christina is 16 years old and a Christian. She lives a good and happy life. She hates when she sees people near her in the bad so she tries to help. When she sees Eliza get messed with she tries befriend her and introduce her to Christ.

He does, and the shooter aims his gun at Aaliyah. With Jack being deathly afraid of living without her, he comes out from where he was hiding and the shooter ends up shooting him in the chest. Aaliyah uses her last bit of strength to crawl to Jack and he kisses her before his eyes rolled to the back of his head. She lays on top of him, too weak to stay awake, and passes out while she hugs his body. When she wakes up in the hospital days later, the first thing she asks for is Jack. Her doctor finally gives the okay to see him, and he wakes up shortly after she gets there. He immediately asks if she's okay, and she assures him that she is.
