Iris is blamed for the death's of her closest family when she is the only one to survive the fatal car accident. She goes to live with her Aunt Martha, even though they have never been the closest people, but everyone else has pushed her away since the incident. After the looks of disgust faded from her relatives, she was utterly alone. Iris blocked everyone out and showed no emotions towards a soul. Thus, inviting the hollows to invade her body and mind. They 'persuade' her to play a game, three strikes and she's out. All Iris wants is answers, but hollows don't play fair in the shadows.

Hollows want nothing more then to eat away at the purest host, to become strong enough to create there own vessel, body, so they can blend in during the day and terrorize society at night.

The Sirens have just a little bit different in mind, they want nothing but to see the agony of others. They linger to those who are two steps closer to death. They watch for near by tragedies.
