In what used to be North America, the proud country of Panem now stands. The rulers from the Capitol hold a televised survival competition in which one male and one female between the ages of twelve and eighteen are reaped to fight to to death in an arena designed to be as deadly as the tributes, themselves. This game is forever known as The Hunger Games.

Peeta Mellark, District Twelve's Baker's son, has been, madly in love with his companion, Katniss Everdeen, since the small age of five. Ever since tragedy gave him enough courage to ask for her hand, the unspeakable happens. Katniss's little sister, Primrose, is reaped for the death sentence. Peeta watches helplessly as his lover volunteers to take her place in the Games. Soon after, Peeta is reaped himself. He knows that only one will come out alive: someone smart, determined, and strong enough.

And it would be his love. It had to be.

Every one know the story of how my older sister, Katniss Everdeen, the girl on fire, and her fellow tribute, Peeta Mellark, won The Hunger Games. A boy named Peeta Mellark was reaped alongside her. These two come out of the games as "Starcrossed Lovers". This caused a few uprisings in some districts. President Snow doesn't want another rebellion so he sends Katniss and Peeta back into the games with other Victors from each district. This causes a whole other war and this time, the districts pull out on top. The Hunger Games are ended and Snow is executed and everyone is safe again. Yeah, let's fast foward about fifty years. My name is Larise Parigood, and the Hunger Games are back. And this time, they're as heart wrenching as ever. Warning: Much Vulgar Language, Profanity, and Uncomfortable Topics.
