Ross has been through many heartbreaks, and eventually just shut down all emotions so he wouldn't feel it anymore. He only really cares for his three younger brothers and sick mother he has to take care of, but work and money are scares, so he must steal for it. When Ross is caught trying to steal from the royal castle, he's put into slavery and on the market. He's bought by a mysterious man in a cloak. Turns out it's the king himself, Max Mithzan! Ross isn't fazed by this. Though, he is surprised as the supposedly ruthless king, turns out to be just a poor, lonely soul with anger issues. Will Ross keep up his emptiness despite the obvious feelings shared, or will he finally lower his guard and learn to love again?

The thing wearing Ross' face grinned sinisterly, red eyes glinting like gems. "My name is Sky. And I'm the demon that runs this town." His grin slipped off of Ross' face, overtaken by a vindictive expression. "And I don't remember inviting you to stay here." The demon, Sky, tightened his grip, and the last thing Max saw before his vision faded to black was the harsh shine in the being's eyes. ________________________________________________________________________________ This story is loosely based off of Ross', or House_Owner's, series called Redstoner. Note, when I say loosely based off of, I basically just mean that there is a demon called Sky that can control people, there's a red sun, and Max and Shelby both show up. This contains slight Mithross, and some dark undertones. There is nothing inappropriate, but there are one or two graphically violent scenes. I don't believe they're too bad, though. If anyone thinks this should be given a mature rating, tell me, and I will update it.

With no idea what has happened he arrives home only to find it's been many years since he "vanished". Even though he receives a warm welcome home, things are too different to be normal. A dark curse lies deep within him, slowly spelling his doom as time ticks by. Max doesn't understand what has happened to him or why, his memories are broken and shattered, but he remembers one voice. The voice of a woman. Her soft and sweet voice in a world of darkness, she sings of her home and tells him his destiny lies there. The only thing Max understands is that by finding this woman, he may just get the answers he craves, only IF he's willing to risk the danger of being in the middle of a war.
