In the year 2016 all hell has broke loose. War has ravaged the United States and much of the world. Soldiers have been fighting for so long they forgot why they kill. For freedom? For peace? For survival? None of this sounds right to army recruit Mike Caruba. Drafted to fight in late 2015 he must give up all that he knows and loves to fight against people he doesn't even know why they wish to kill him. When all hope is gone will there be anything left to fight for? Is there a reason to fight?

I'll admit the last few years I've been through the wringer - and the blows just won't stop coming. First there is all the family drama, and then there's a war (or, perhaps the war is the biggest issue at the moment?). Irregardless, I've finally decided what I wish to do with my life. I'm going to kill my father. Even if it's the last thing I do. And no matter if there's a pretty solider on the opposite side of the war trying to get in my way (or more accurately - my pants). He turned me around and this time I was facing him, our eyes met and I couldn't deny it, it felt great to be in his arms. His eyes lowered and fell on my lips. Before I could even say my name, he kisses me. My eyes widened in shocked but I gave in and wrapped my arms around his neck, closing my eyes. God damn!his lips are soft. It was slow and gentle, his hands moved to my face as he increased the pace. My hands moved to his soft black hair. God! I've always wanted to touch it I let out a moan and he slipped his tongue in making the kiss hotter. It was the best feeling on earth. We both pulled away at the same time, panting. I am what most would later call a War's Child. A child born in the first few years of the civil war that wreaked havoc upon Daquan for twenty years. But mostly, I'm a villager. One of the people that live in the villages, starving and fighting against death at every turn. Yet, I'm none too pleased to be pulled from my familiar life only to be thrown into the life of the Military Academy of Daqu. This is the first time I don't have to worry about having enough food to last the day, about freezing to death or being attacked while I'm sleeping. "Well just for that, I'll show you abuse." He says and before I could react, he punches me. Hard. I was pissed. Even though I haven't had ALL my training. I figured I should at least try SOMETHING.
