"As I turn onto the main drag that passes the restaurant, flashes of that summer night two years ago start to cloud my mind. The police tape, the blue and red lights, the blood on my hands, my mom screaming at a police officer and my dad trying to hold her back while tears rolled down his unshaven face. I sat on the curb rocking back and forth on my heels as an officer swabbed the blood on my hands. The phone battery was shoved into a plastic bag, the pink gemstone glinting at me from under the wrapping."

Two years pass and Jayce's older sister, Alice is still nowhere to be seen. Jayce's book series, the "Absent Alice" novels, have dropped Alice in a fantastical world where nothing can harm her, just how Jayce wants it. But when grisly details are revealed about that summer night, suppressed memories come to light, and the case is reopened, Jayce is forced to come back to reality and face the tragedy affecting her family.

A novel about family, love, and betrayal, Absent Alice will have you reading chapter after chapter as the mystery begins to unfold. But be careful, not everything is as it seems.

I run to my house and lock myself in my bathroom. I don't bother closing the front door cause I don't care if people come in to kill me. I grab my razor and cut deep cuts into my arm and wrists falling into a pool of my own blood. • • • Evangeline has a great life. Friends? Check! Good grades? Check! Loving family? Check! Don't say I didn't warn you. Okay, I wrote this at the start of this year (may 2016) and I had very poor writing skills. This book hasn't been edited and the whole idea is cliche so I wouldn't recommend you read it but I'm not stopping you, either. Read at your own risk. • • • Copyright © 2017 by -moonlust. ||WATTYS 2021 SHORTLIST|| ||FREE STORY WITH PAID BONUS CONTENT|| Allison, the front woman of rising rock band Hell Flower, has been experiencing bizarre blackouts and other strange symptoms. In a fateful night after performing a show, she loses control and commits a crime she can't take back. On the run for her life and from the law, the race begins for Allison to find a cure for her curse before it takes her humanity, or worse, her life. The only ones who might know what is going on and be able to help are her parents. Too bad both of them are dead . . . or so she thought. *** This was my project for #NaNoWriMo2020 . The entire novel was written within a month, and I achieved my goal on November 30th. This is a spin-off to Make Them Scream. It can be read as a stand alone story; however, reading this before Make Them Scream will be a spoiler.
