Ava has always found it difficult telling the difference between what is real and what is not. She is constantly gripped by terrifying hallucinations and visions that seem so real. That was her reality. Terrifying hallucinations that took over her mind. She was alone fighting her own battle. But she found harder and harder to carry on the fight.
Paul Zimmer had lived next door to Ava and her family for as long as he can remember but never once had he spoken to any member of Ava's family. Yet Ava had always managed to fascinate him to no end. She stood out to him. He always admired her from afar. Never getting too close.
It was just circumstance when the knock came at his door that one evening.

"You're different from what I expected," she said softly. "How so?" he asked, glancing at her. "I don't know," she replied, searching for the right words. "You just... have this way of making people feel like they matter. Even here, in this... nightmare." He was quiet for a moment before responding. "You matter, Y/n. Don't forget that." OR Y/n wakes up in the deadly Squid Game, surrounded by strangers and fighting to survive. What she doesn't know is that the mysterious Frontman is watching her every move through the cameras- and she's caught his attention.
