'So, what's your name?' He stopped and turned to me expectantly. Even at age 9, he was tall, already half a head taller than me, but probably more, considering one of his legs was bent. 

  'Rosaline, but call me Rose,' 

  He smiled upon hearing my name. 'Rosey, then,'

  'You?'

  'Thaddeus Ares, call me Thad,' 

  He held out his hand and I shook it. This was so official.. 

  Ever since our little incident, Thad and I, we have been best friends. He was an absolutely beautiful boy, and I was completely in love with him, but i don't think even I was aware of how I felt.

  Of course, it also meant that I hadn't a clue about how he felt about me, neither did I ever try to find out. After all, he had girl after girl with him every other week. 

  I never actually thought anything more about us, as I was content with how things were.
