The air was slightly moist from rain a few days ago. It was different than earth. The trees were a greenish colored and smelled like sweet ginger. They were unusually tall and covered most - if not all - of the planet. Except for the teal blue oceans of course. there is a small opening between two trees on a large island. This opening held a cave with a pitch black inside. That is except for the little green floating orb the size of a grain of rice. That little grain-of-rice sized light was a portal to the unknown. Many of the inhabitants have seen the light, but none have gone into the light. The inhabitants, the things that live on this planet. Humans right? Wrong, they are far from humans. They are kind of a wolf in a way, except they do have special abilities they can be born with. They can be born with flight (wings), super speed (70-85 tops), invisibility, strength (stronger than the average rock), elemental (fire, water, earth, etc.) The rarest two are future vision and healing. The ones that gain either of those abilities are special, but both are considered to be a legend.

Everything started in 2036. The pollution was so bad that the end of the world was predicted to be right around the corner. As complete panic set in around the world, the rich and important people were all gathered and placed on giant spaceships with enough resources and room to house generations of human beings. Before they left though, the government leaders fired As a result, most of the human population died off and earth was a complete wasteland. The little that survived started building local communities and trying to survive in the destroyed excuse of a planet. On the disaster of a planet, creatures mutated and were born out of the nuclear chemicals; creating new species and monsters that hunted humans. While hundreds and hundreds of years passed, the monsters kept evolving and the people kept adapting while still trying to keep a sort of community. They didn't want to lose all of their humanity and become nothing more than animals that hunted the monsters: then they would truly be no better than the monsters themselves. So they stayed civil while still doing what it took to survive.
