Have you ever gotten so frustrated in school that you started to think dropping out was the way to go? 
Don't worry, you aren't the only one. From 5th grade, up until I graduated, I struggled to stay on track with school. I always fell behind, failed classes, and I even repeated a grade. Eventually I decided dropping out might be the best way to go. Then I quickly had to learn that it was the worst mistake a person could make. So I had to go back, I had to make a plan, and I noticed with this plan, school was so much easier! I graduated on time, and (as much as I had left) with sanity.

This is going to be weird. At first at least. I haven't talked to you in over a year, but the teacher said we should use this diary to express our emotions and the only one I could ever be one hundred percent honest with is you. Those letters to you are worth 25% of my final grade so I must find some interesting things to talk to you about. It's going to be good for me too. It'll help me move on. Help me live my life again. I just hope that it will get easier because for now, just imagining talking to you every week brings it all back, all those feelings. I still hope that, one day, you will read those letters for real. I honestly didn't realize how broken I was. I just figured that if I shut all my feelings out that they would go away. They didn't. They came back strong as ever. And I did the worst thing that I could do. I let my feelings get the best of me. My daddy told me to never let anyone walk over me. And yet that is exactly what everybody does.
