It all started when school got cancelled in December because of bad weather, so my friend and I were bored so we thought it would be "fun" to go down to the creek in Green Springs(Feeling Adventurous) When we got to the woods we were throwing big rocks into the frozen crick breaking the ice, then we started exploring. We started to walk on the ATV trails and came across the biggest spot in the crick. We started watching the birds by the water.
Then Kaden said,"hey,what is that across the water?".
I said,"You want to find out?"
Kaden said," I'll cross it first and then you cross" and of course I said "ok".
Kaden crossed just fine but when I crossed it wasn't just fine, as soon as I started crossing Kaden started kicking the ice. Then I started to hear the ice start to crack and I started running across. I was almost there and then...THE ICE BROKE RIGHT UNDER MY FEET! I tried to get up and then the ice broke again and I had to roll across the ice to get to land. Then I was wet,cold and mad going home.

But someone sitting next to me looked at me and noticed how pale I looked, or noticed that tears were welling in my eyes and I was drooping. I wrapped my hands around my throat seconds before I blacked out. That was only the first instance. In the time that I was unconscious, my lungs filled with fluid and I almost died. I was out for nearly two days, and my parents really thought that I would die. I vaguely remember hearing my mom crying while I couldn't open my eyes, and my dad telling her that maybe it was just my time and they had to let me go. But then I woke up, and the fluid had been drained from my lungs. I spent a while more in the hospital, and in that time, my parents found out that I had cancer. It had been determined that I probably wouldn't live much longer, maybe three months at the most.
